Ms Kirstin
Dance-N-Groove Owner/Director
Dance-N-Groove is owned by Ms Kirstin Casey. Ms Kirstin has lived in Hutto since 1994 with her family and is a 2003 Hutto High School Graduate. In 2010 she married the love of her life, Cody Casey and they have two dancers of their own.
Ms Kirstin has been dancing and performing in front of audiences since she was 7 years old. In elementary school, she performed with the Rising Stars and Kings Kids Performing Troupe-- performing at area malls and schools. In high school, she was a four-year member of the Hutto Hi-Steppers and won numerous solo awards. She was also chosen for Danceline USA's Danceline Elite which performed at Walt Disney World and on a Carnival Cruise Ship and chosen as a member of the 2003 Capital One Bowl Half-time Show All-Star Cast. She attended Weatherford College on a dance scholarship and was a member of the award-winning Weatherford College Southern Premiere Dance Company. Ms Kirstin was also a member of the Hutto Theatre Department in middle and high school and was student director for several plays.
Ms Kirstin student taught dance at Dance It Up for a year and a half and was an assistant teacher at On Stage Dance and Performing Arts studio under the direction of Holly Lee in Weatherford, Texas. Ms Kirstin has also been a guest choreographer and judge for many area dance teams. Ms Kirstin received her Associate of the Arts degree from Temple College in May 2006.
Ms Kirstin has taken master classes over the years with various master teachers including Jo Rowan, Liz Imperio, Gregg Russell, Diane Gudat, Rhee Gold, Tyce Diorio, Scott Fowler, Judy Rice & many more.
Ms Kirstin has owned Dance-N-Groove since February 2005. In 2016; she became a member of the Studio Owner Alliance and recieved her Studio Owner Alliance Certification July 2024. Ms Kirstin is also a Gold Alliance Leader. She enjoys teaching all students not only dance but all aspects of the performing arts and watching them grow.
Ms Shannon S.
Ms Shannon is classically trained in ballet and pointe and has additional training in jazz, contemporary musical theatre and tap. Growing up she was a member of The Elite Dance Team in Virginia and trained at the Virginia Governors School of Arts as a ballet major. She has taken classes at Broadway Dance Center and Destination Broadway as well as competed in the Miss America Pageants. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise and Texas A &M University with a M.S. in Nutritional Science. While at Virginia Tech she was a member of the NCAA dance team, The High Techs. She is excited to bring her knowledge, training and experience as a registered dietitian to Dance-N-Groove and help all dancers be their best selves. Ms Shannon and her husband welcomed their first child in September 2024.
Ms Khy M.
Ms Khy began dancing at the age of 7, studying ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and modern in her home studio in California where she has also been assistant teacher. She was also a member of her elementary drill team. In high school, she participated in gymnastics and choir and helped start her high schools first ever Step Team. She has had the opportunity to perform in parades and the swearing in ceremony of Honorable, Autumn R. Burke Assembly District 62 in 2015. She was a member of the Mt. San Antonio College Dance Department where she graduated and received her teaching certificate in 2017. She was awarded the Breakthrough Dancer of the Year in 2013 and received a Summer Intensive scholarship in 2014. Ms Khy joined the Dance-N-Groove faculty assisting and subbing various classes in 2018. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance.
Ms Tara I.
Ms Olivia F.
Ms Olivia is a passionate and experienced ballet dancer who has been training since she was 7 years old. She has taken classes in pointe, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical, and has competed with her studio's competition team. She is also a skilled classroom helper and babysitter/nanny. Olivia is currently a student at Southwestern University, where she is majoring in psychology. She is also a certified dance instructor and began teaching at Dance-N-Groove in 2023. She is excited to share her love of dance with others and help them reach their full potential.
