What are we doing at Dance-N-Groove to keep your dancer and family safe?

We understand that everyone's comfort levels in this time is different.  We are ready to meet you where you are.  All our class are hybrid classes so dancers may take either in person or virtually from the comfort of  your own home.

​

Guidelines for In Person Classes:

​

• Get Dressed/Ready: Follow dress code and remember legs must be covered with tights; Cover feet- Correct dance shoes must be worn in studio;  Hair- must be in a bun or tight ponytail.  We do not want hands traveling toward faces for any reasons.

• Masks are left up to each families discretion.  Please let your teacher know if you would like your dancer to keep their mask on at all times and we will make sure they follow your family rules.  

• Hand sanitizer will continue to be available and used in each dance room.  A Sanitation Station is available as you first walk in as well.

• Teachers and staff will be the only ones allowed to open/close doors to help eliminate what students touch throughout class.

• All Staff will self-evaluate prior to arriving  each day by taking their temperature and if they are feeling ill staying home.

Moving to Virtual Dance Classes

If at any time, it is unsafe to hold in person classes we will move to an online class format.  We will communicate any changes via email and our Private Facebook Families Group.   All dancers are welcome to join their class virtually if they feel more comfortable doing so. If you need to join virtually for whatever reason please email the studio no later than 2pm the day of class so we can make sure we are all set for you.

PROPS-  We are asking our dancers to purchase a personal prop bag.  This bag will include all the props we normally use throughout the year.  All other props will be sanitized after each use.

​​Pick Up & Drop Off Procedures

* Please enter the studio and wait in the lobby until teachers let dancers back.

* At the end of class all dancers under the age of 10 must have an adult enter the lobby to pick up their dancer.  

* The lobby will remain closed at this time with the exception of drop off and pick up

​Cleaning Procedures

We pride ourselves on always keeping  our studio clean and safe.  We have enhanced our cleaning procedures which include sanitizing between classes and mopping daily.

​​​Parent Observation

We know that you love to watch your dancer and see all they have learned.  We also understand that new parents (especially of our youngest dancers) want to know that their dancer is taken care of.   Parents are not allowed to watch class as this can become a distraction for dancers.  We do have parent observation weeks throughout the year.  

​

Sick Policy

Colds, flu, and other contagious diseases occur frequently and spread easily among children. To help protect your own child’s health and to minimize the possibility of contagion, please keep your child at home if you observe any of the following symptoms:

 

• Nasal discharge that is green or yellow

• Complaints of ear pain

• Consistent cough

• Severe sore throat

• Eyes that are pink, burning, itching, or producing discharge

• Diarrhea or vomiting

• Fever

• Chills

• Shortness of Breath

• Loss of Taste or Smell

 

If these symptoms or other conditions that are deemed contagious are observed in your child during class, you will be called to pick up your child immediately.
