For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. While what I wanted to teach changed over the years, the one thing that remained constant was my passion for inspiring and nurturing students. Over 20 years ago, while I was in college working toward my teaching degree, an incredible opportunity came my way—the chance to teach and own a dance studio. On February 1st, we officially opened our doors as Dance-N-Groove at our first location on Mager Lane, right next to Hutto Elementary School.
Since then, Dance-N-Groove has grown in ways I could have never imagined. In 2011, we moved to a larger location, expanded to two dance rooms, welcomed talented teachers, and introduced new dance styles. Most importantly, I have had the privilege of watching so many young dancers grow—not just in their technique, but in confidence, discipline, and passion. Seeing our students blossom into strong, graceful individuals has been the most rewarding part of this journey.
